Terms and Conditions
Our terms and conditions for staying in our apartment are set out below.
Please respect them so that everybody can enjoy Carlingford using the best accommodation available.

Stella Maris Terms & Conditions of Rental

  1. A non-refundable booking deposit of €100.00 per stay is required to reserve accommodation. The balance of rental is payable 2 weeks prior to rental. A confirmation of booking will be issued upon receipt of deposit with directions and a copy of the Terms and Conditions.

  2. Notice of cancellation must be in writing. The following charges will then apply:

    • More than 42 days - Booking deposit
    • 6 to 2 weeks (inclusive) - 50% of total holiday cost
    • Less than 2 weeks - 100% of total holiday cost
    • It is strongly advised that clients take out holiday insurance to cover the possibility of cancellation charges.

  3. The apartment must be left as it is found and the cost of repair to or the replacement of property will be the responsibility of the client and if appropriate deducted from the security deposit.

  4. A security deposit of €100.00 per stay must be paid on arrival. This will be returned to the client provided that the owner is satisfied that the terms and conditions of rental have been complied with. In the event that the owner is unable to check the apartment on the clients' departure, the security deposit will be forwarded within 7 days. Clients are expected to leave the house clean and tidy, otherwise a charge of €50 will be made.

  5. Rental of the apartment may be terminated with no refund at the discretion of the owner if clients/occupiers behave in a disruptive manner, cause a nuisance or disturbance, damage to the property or in any other circumstances deemed reasonable by the owner.

  6. On the expiry or other termination of rental, the owner may remove all belongings of the clients/occupiers of the home left on the property and store or otherwise deal with same as deemed appropriate. Notwithstanding the aforesaid, the sole risk in respect of such belongings shall at all times remain with the clients/occupiers.

  7. Possession and evacuation of the apartment must be taken by the agreed times of booking. FAILURE TO NOTIFY THE OWNER OF LATE ARRIVAL COULD RESULT IN LOSS OF RESERVATION.

  8. The owner of the apartment is not responsible for any loss of valuables or property left in the home during the stay or on departure.

  9. The owner of the apartment has the right to visit the apartment at all reasonable times during the stay to carry out an inspection or to follow any query raised by a third party.

  10. The owner of the apartment does not accept bookings from groups of parties under the age of 25, unless otherwise agreed in writing. The owner reserves the right to refuse to check-in such groups and will not refund any monies paid in advance in the event of non-disclosure of the age of the occupants.

  11. The number of persons stated on the reservation form must not be exceeded in any circumstance.

  12. Pets are strictly prohibited from entering the apartment and/or the apartment block under any circumstances.

  13. Smoking is strictly prohibited in the apartment and/or apartment block.

  14. Any claims for personal injury or accident must be made directly on the owner of the apartment.

  15. All Bookings are subject to availability and written confirmation.
